Lori Vallow and Chad Daybell Part 3: The Pet Cemetery

Part 3 of our docu-series covers the nine months when Tylee Ryan and JJ Vallow were gone and almost no one knew it.
It opens at a fire pit in Salem, Idaho, on September 9, 2019, with a text about a raccoon and a pet cemetery. Investigators would later say Alex Cox’s phone was on the property for two and a half hours that morning. Two weeks later, after JJ’s last night in Rexburg, Alex’s phone was near the pond.
Then the stories. Homeschooling in Louisiana. Staying with grandma. A zombie who had become too much to handle. Tylee at BYU-Idaho. A storage unit rented under the name Lori Ryan, filled with the children’s things. A hundred dollars sent to Colby from Tylee’s account with the note “We love you.”
Tony Brueski moves through October: the shot through Brandon Boudreaux’s window, the Grendel round search, the masked man in Tammy’s driveway, the casting on Tammy, and Tammy’s death on October 19. No autopsy. Eight certificates. Two insurance policies. A beach wedding on November 5.
Then the police close in, Lori and Chad run to Kauai, Tammy is exhumed, Alex dies, and Lori is arrested. On June 9, 2020, investigators went first to the pond. Then they went to the pet cemetery.
