Patrick Clancy’s Lawsuit Could Hand Prosecutors THIS for the Retrial

Two lawsuits against Lindsay Clancy’s doctors are running at the same time, and they need opposite answers to the same question. Patrick Clancy’s lawyer told a judge Lindsay will take the stand and say she warned her doctors about thoughts of harming her children. Kevin Reddington said she never told them that, she never agreed to testify, and Patrick’s lawyer doesn’t speak for her. Patrick’s suit requires her disclosure — Massachusetts law shields therapists unless the patient made a specific threat. Lindsay’s own malpractice suit doesn’t need that answer because it argues a different kind of failure. The danger is the retrial. If Lindsay says in one courtroom that she told her doctors, prosecutors can use it in the other. Motta and Dreeke break down why Reddington has no choice but to fight to keep her off that stand.
