Elizabeth Holmes Says the Man Who Ran Theranos With Her Told Her THIS at 19
Elizabeth Holmes was convicted of defrauding Theranos investors, but Tony’s take is that Nathan Fielder’s film about her belongs to the men who stood next to her. Psychotherapist Shavaun Scott is with him.
Her dad calls what happened to her at 19 the turning point of her life. Sunny Balwani, Theranos’s former president and COO, was roughly twice her age, and Holmes testified he told her meeting him meant she was safe.
Billy Evans, her partner, tells the camera he can do anything as Elizabeth. Her power of attorney is his, and so is her X account. Billy says Elizabeth says everything she does for as long as she lives is building monuments of love to him. The only other time it’s heard is from Amanda Seyfried, playing Elizabeth in a prison visit Fielder had to recreate.
Tony asks Shavaun whether those are Elizabeth’s words or words a narcissist would put in her mouth, and what Holmes is heading back to in 2027.
