Lori Vallow’s Idaho Appeal Could Hand Her THIS If She Wins

On November 2nd, the Idaho Supreme Court heard the fight that could decide whether Lori Vallow Daybell gets a new trial for the murders of JJ and Tylee and the conspiracy to kill Tammy Daybell. Justice Cynthia Meyer asked a question that reframed everything: could a win hand Lori back a death notice she already took off the table? Craig Durham said there are strong arguments against that — and that Lori is going forward knowing the risk. The hearing circled Mark Means, the lawyer a judge took off the case in December 2021. Chad Daybell paid for him. Chad told the trial judge Means was “never” his lawyer, but his own jail call with Lori said something else. And Durham’s own appeal admits a mistake Means made at a 2021 hearing — one that puts her best argument on the hardest test in appellate law.
