Lindsay Clancy’s Foreperson Signed Three Verdict Forms That Were Never Delivered
Three verdict forms in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial carry the foreperson’s signature. They were never delivered. The holdout admitted reasonable doubt, then reversed and refused to sign.
Five jurors have spoken publicly since the September 4 mistrial. The most recent — Nick Dargie, a military veteran and the first male juror to come forward — said the holdout couldn’t cite a single piece of evidence for his position and scrolled his phone during deliberations. He described the holdout pulling an exercise band from the evidence bag and tying it around a water bottle in an apparent reenactment.
The instructions Judge Sullivan read created the collision. The reasonable doubt charge required acquittal when doubt remained. The dynamite charge told jurors not to surrender their honest convictions. Those commands pointed in opposite directions.
Reddington filed a motion on September 10 asking the judge to enter an acquittal outright. A hearing is set for September 29.
