Caleb Flynn Trial Day 5: Alleigha Botner Read WHAT About Hiring Someone?!
Alleigha Botner returned to the stand in Caleb Flynn’s murder trial and read more private messages between herself and Caleb. In one message attributed to Caleb, Botner testified he wrote, “Please hire someone to take douche out!”
The prosecution is using the messages to show jurors how Caleb allegedly spoke about his wife, Ashley Flynn, during his affair with Botner. Caleb, 40, has pleaded not guilty to charges including aggravated murder in Ashley’s February 16, 2026 death. Prosecutors allege he killed Ashley and staged their Tipp City home to resemble a burglary; the defense says investigators rushed to blame him and maintains Ashley was killed during a home invasion.
Botner’s testimony puts the wording of those messages directly before the jury. The issue is no longer whether ugly things were said. Jurors now have to decide what those words prove, if anything, about the killing prosecutors allege came later.
