Alex Murdaugh Dealt Blow As Judge Denies Appeal To Throw Out Financial Charges

Alex Murdaugh’s appeal to overturn his 40-year federal sentence for financial crimes has been denied, putting another nail in the coffin for the once-powerful attorney who led a double life of deceit and betrayal. After pleading guilty to stealing millions from clients, friends, and his own law firm, Murdaugh had hoped to argue that the sentence was too harsh.
