What Caleb Flynn’s Daughters Said to Him After He Denied Killing Their Mother
Caleb Flynn stood before Judge Jeannine Pratt and told the court he did not kill his wife. Then his own daughters’ statements were read. One told him he’d caused too much pain, that Ashley was the best thing that ever happened to him, and that she is never coming to see him. She signed her name. The other wrote to him as Daddy and asked how he could do it — kill the only mother she ever had. She told him it was his choice to have the affair, his choice to leave his daughters, his choice to kill their mom. Ashley’s sister and brother-in-law also addressed the court. Her parents told Flynn they forgive him and asked for the maximum sentence. A jury convicted Flynn on all nine counts for shooting Ashley in the back of the head while she slept in their Tipp City home and staging a break-in. Flynn’s defense plans to appeal.
