Sandra Birchmore Was Found Dead. Then Farwell’s Phone Searched THIS.

Published by Tony Brueski on

Matthew Farwell first contacted Sandra Birchmore on Facebook when she was thirteen. By fifteen, prosecutors allege, they were in a relationship he called one he was “addicted” to. He met her through a law enforcement youth program. He was a twenty-seven-year-old Stoughton police officer.

On Day 6 of Farwell’s federal murder trial, FBI Special Agent Heidi Kelsch walked the jury through years of recovered messages. Farwell said he “absolutely” would have started a year earlier — when Birchmore was fourteen. Independent records backed the timeline.

By early 2021 Birchmore was pregnant. Then her phone went silent at 9:13 PM on February 1. Eight days later, an iPhone XR linked to Farwell ran two Google searches — one about revoking consent, the other about recovering deleted messages. DNA confirmed Farwell was not the biological father.
