Sandra Birchmore Believed Her Mom Came Back to Warn Her About This

Two women who knew Sandra Birchmore best took the stand in the Matthew Farwell murder trial on October 23rd, and both described a woman getting ready to be a mother. Lindsey Crean, her friend since middle school, said Sandra called her ecstatic in December 2020 and believed the baby was an angel sent by her late mother. Crean also told jurors she saw Farwell in the black pickup that picked Sandra up years earlier. Therapist Diala Alkhalil testified that on January 31st, 2021, Sandra said she feared something would happen to her in her Canton apartment. Prosecutors say Farwell strangled her there the next day, and he has pleaded not guilty. Farwell’s lawyer suggested the pickup belonged to his twin brother, then turned to Sandra’s history, from a 2020 text to the medication she’d just started. Her last questions were about what Sandra saw. The therapist’s cross-examination resumes Monday, October 26th.
