Farwell & Lori Vallow: The Reason He Gave for Hitting a Pole

Published by Tony Brueski on

With the FBI already working the Sandra Birchmore case, police reports say Matthew Farwell’s head-on crash broke a utility pole in two. Lori Vallow Daybell’s appeal is set for November 2, 2026, at the Idaho Supreme Court.

Farwell pleaded not guilty and blamed a deer he said ran under his hood. The doctor behind the May 2021 suicide ruling testified she was never asked if Sandra’s death was suspicious.

Lori wants the verdicts reversed, saying the judge denied her the lawyer of her choice by removing Mark Means.

Prosecutors say a former gang leader stabbed Derek Chauvin 22 times in a special federal unit for ex-cops. Ex-prosecutor turned defense lawyer Eric Faddis and Robin Dreeke, retired chief of the FBI’s behavioral program, weigh what that means for Farwell if convicted.
