Alex Murdaugh’s murder convictions are gone — and the lawyer who built the financial crimes case the prosecution used as motive says the system just failed the people it was supposed to protect. Eric Bland represented the Satterfield sons. He helped expose the web of financial schemes that became the backbone of the state’s argument for why Murdaugh killed his wife and son.
