D4vd’s Team Allegedly Helped Him Do WHAT?!
D4vd wrongful death lawsuit Celeste Rivas Hernandez — her family’s civil case reaches beyond David Anthony Burke and directly into the people and companies that surrounded his career. The complaint brings 12 causes of action and names Burke alongside his mother, management figures, a live-in security guard, and business entities.
The family’s theory is that access did not happen in a vacuum. Their complaint alleges adults around Burke knew or should have known Celeste was a minor and failed to take reasonable steps to protect her. Sheldon Jacques, identified as Burke’s live-in security guard, is accused in the complaint of helping remove Celeste from her family home and assisting with transportation to Burke’s Hollywood Hills residence.
The management and money trail sits beside those allegations. The complaint says Colleen Burke handled major parts of her son’s finances and approved bills tied to his operation, including expenses connected to the Los Angeles residence. At Burke’s preliminary hearing, a former financial manager testified that Burke generated about $10 million to $11.5 million in gross earnings between 2023 and 2025. Property records later showed two Texas homes were moved into his mother’s name after Celeste’s remains were found.
Burke has pleaded not guilty to the criminal charges against him. A judge ordered him to stand trial after a five-day preliminary hearing in July, and he remains held without bail. After his private attorneys withdrew, the public defender’s office took over his representation. A status conference is scheduled for October 19, 2026.
