Lori Vallow Believes THIS Happens After Her Appeal
Lori Vallow Daybell has been convicted in three separate trials across two states and has never once acknowledged that anyone was harmed. At her Idaho sentencing in 2023, she told the court that Jesus Christ knows no one was murdered. On Dateline in 2025, she told Keith Morrison she’d be exonerated and offered to go on Dancing With the Stars. In two Arizona trials where she represented herself, she smiled at jurors and told them to protect her from the state. Two more convictions. Two more life sentences.
On November 2, the Idaho Supreme Court hears oral arguments on her appeal. Her attorney Craig Durham has one claim with real teeth: the judge removed her hired lawyer Mark Means in December 2021 over a conflict with co-defendant Chad Daybell. If that removal was unconstitutional, the conviction falls automatically. The state says Chad called Means “my attorney” on a recorded jail call, paid for the representation, and shared privileged information. Lori was incompetent and couldn’t waive the conflict.
Even a complete reversal sends her back to trial, where two Arizona convictions now make the state’s evidence stronger. The door she’s trying to open leads to a smaller room. She dies in custody either way. But she told Morrison that Jesus visits her cell and showed her the future. That’s the woman asking this court for relief.
