D4VD Had WHAT Delivered On Postmates After Celeste Was Killed?!

The d4vd preliminary hearing opened with a courtroom split in two. Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s parents stayed for the graphic testimony after being offered the chance to leave. Burke, according to courtroom reporters, showed no visible reaction to any of it. The contrast defined Day 1.

Detective Joshua Byers walked the court through a receipt-by-receipt timeline of purchases allegedly tied to Burke under multiple aliases. The items — ordered with his own payment methods and delivered to his own address — included materials prosecutors allege were used in the aftermath of Celeste’s death. One item allegedly bore a label that hadn’t surfaced publicly before the hearing.

Body camera footage from a February 2024 welfare check showed Burke allegedly telling deputies he met Celeste once at the beach and that she told him she was eighteen. Prosecutors say she was thirteen and the relationship had been ongoing.

Financial testimony established that Burke’s music career generated more than ten million dollars during the years surrounding the alleged crime. His former finance director also testified about a switch to encrypted communications, discussions about moving money, and property title transfers — all occurring after the remains were found. The finance director remains on a monthly retainer working with Burke’s family.

The defense challenged the investigation’s evidence handling and preservation at every turn. The hearing continues over multiple days.
