Can Bryan Kohberger Really Take His Guilty Plea Back?
Bryan Kohberger pleaded guilty to four murders in open court, out loud, four separate times. Now he is trying to take all of it back.
So can he actually do that? That is the question, and the answer involves one sentence he said under oath that he is going to have a very hard time getting around.
This episode works through the answer. Kohberger is serving four consecutive life terms for the University of Idaho student murders, handed down after he admitted the killings of Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin in open court. He has now filed to undo that admission entirely, and he filed it himself.
