What Caleb Flynn’s 10-Year-Old Asked Him at Sentencing

Published by Tony Brueski on

Caleb Flynn, the former worship leader at Christian Life Center in Tipp City, Ohio, was convicted on all nine counts in the murder of his wife, Ashley Flynn. Prosecutors alleged he shot Ashley twice in the back of the head while she slept, fifty feet from their daughters’ bedroom.

At sentencing, Flynn denied it. His ten-year-old daughter asked one question in her impact statement: What did Ashley ever do to make you hate her so much? She prays every single night for him to confess. Her older sister refused to call him Dad.

Flynn’s parents wrote the judge asking for mercy and didn’t mention Ashley’s name once. Flynn quoted Proverbs and declared his innocence in the same statement where he claimed “complete accountability.”

Judge Jeannine Pratt sentenced him to life without parole.
