Mica Miller Left Journals—What She Wrote About JP

Mica Miller documented what was happening to her. She wrote it in journals. She told it to police. She filed for divorce. And the state of South Carolina didn’t have a single law that recognized what she described.

Her family compiled the journal entries after Mica’s death on April 27, 2024. The allegations against her husband, pastor John-Paul “JP” Miller, include forced medication he allegedly controlled, forced injections, and sleep deprivation. Mica was thirty years old. She’d served JP with divorce papers two days before she died. Her death was ruled a suicide.

The federal government charged JP with cyberstalking and making false statements to investigators—the tools they had because South Carolina had nothing. He has pleaded not guilty. The trial is set for October 2026. Mica’s Law has been introduced four times. It has failed four times. The law still doesn’t exist.
