Caleb Flynn’s Mistress Heard THIS and Went Home Instead of Calling Police
More than a hundred and seven thousand text messages. Matching lightning bolt tattoos — his hidden in his armpit. Three hundred messages a day. And a woman who allegedly watched a man describe planning to end his wife’s life for months and never told a soul.
Alleigha Botner’s testimony in the Caleb Flynn murder trial lasted seven hours and covered a relationship that started in a church and ended in a courtroom. Flynn is charged with aggravated murder, murder, felonious assault, and tampering with evidence in the death of his wife Ashley, a mother of two and volleyball coach who was shot twice while sleeping in Tipp City, Ohio, on February 16, 2026. He’s pleaded not guilty.
Botner was a twenty-two-year-old intern at Christian Life Center in Butler Township when the relationship with Flynn, who ran the music ministry, turned physical in May 2024. Prosecutors allege the messages between them escalated from complaints to explicit talk of wanting Ashley gone by mid-2025. Botner’s response to one such message, read aloud in court: “I’m not asking that you take her life.”
In January 2026, Botner gave Flynn an ultimatum. During a Florida trip that same period, two devices carrying their messages were lost. Botner testified she searched for information about unsolved cases. The night before Ashley was found, she allegedly sent Flynn instructions on deleting a ChatGPT conversation about divorce.
After Ashley was found, Botner testified that Flynn pulled her aside and said something that made her heart start pounding. She didn’t call police. She deleted messages and lied to the FBI.
Botner hasn’t been charged. Prosecutors never searched her apartment, vehicle, or DNA. The question her testimony left behind: what did she believe was coming?
