Caleb Flynn Trial Day 8: Detective Mike Morgan Asked Him WHAT?

The Caleb Flynn murder trial put jurors back inside the police interview room as Det. Sgt. Mike Morgan showed more video of investigators questioning Flynn about the night his wife, Ashley Flynn, was killed.

Morgan testified as jurors watched Flynn draw a map explaining what he said happened inside the Tipp City home and where events unfolded. Detectives pressed him on what he heard that allegedly woke him that night and continued working through his account step by step.

Then the interview became much more direct.

An officer asked Flynn, “Did you do this?”

Flynn asked him to repeat the question. When the officer did, Flynn answered, “No.”

Investigators also told Flynn that he would be investigated and that evidence gathered in the case would be taken to a grand jury. Flynn again denied involvement, telling detectives, “I did not touch my wife.”

Flynn, 40, has pleaded not guilty to all charges in the death of Ashley Flynn, 37. Prosecutors allege he killed Ashley and staged the scene to resemble a home-invasion burglary. His defense maintains Ashley was killed during an actual home invasion and investigators rushed to judgment against her husband.

Now jurors are hearing Flynn explain the night in his own words—and hearing exactly how investigators challenged that explanation.
