Prosecutors Never Offered Lindsay Clancy What Before Trial?

There is a persistent assumption that Lindsay Clancy rejected some compromise and forced everyone into this trial.

Her lawyer says that never happened.

Kevin Reddington says prosecutors did not offer a plea deal. With three first-degree murder charges, the case went before a jury deciding whether Clancy was criminally responsible, guilty of varying homicide offenses or not guilty.

Tony Brueski asks what the prosecution ultimately wants the justice system to accomplish.

Nobody disputes the enormity of what happened to Cora, Dawson and Callan. The dispute is whether Clancy was legally responsible while experiencing the mental illness both sides acknowledge existed.

If prison provides punishment and psychiatric confinement provides treatment plus public protection, which objective matters most?

And when prosecutors, defense experts, state experts and now jurors cannot agree, maybe the unresolved question is bigger than Lindsay Clancy herself.
